JesusFreak316 | RB01: Still no usb host afaik. You can do it either in winmo, via adb, or set up a ftp server on your phone via swiftp and upload the files using an ftp client such as filezilla. I recommend the third choice. | 18:34 |
JesusFreak316 | Oh, one other good choice is droidexplorer. It makes adb easy to use. | 18:34 |
RB01 | cool thanks | 18:34 |
JesusFreak316 | I actually recommend droid explorer if you can get it to work. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=558108 | 18:35 |
hamagc | it's kinda flakey | 18:35 |
hamagc | if you can't connect, unplug your phone, wait for the usb debugging icons to go away then plug it back in and try again | 18:36 |

JesusFreak316 | Aw. | 18:59 |
hamagc | i think it is a problem with the ril as many have said | 18:59 |
hamagc | our ril is about 50k | 18:59 |
hamagc | the evo and hero one is like 800k | 18:59 |
hamagc | so there is alot missing | 19:00 |
JesusFreak316 | Oh, yeah probably. | 19:00 |
JesusFreak316 | Just wondering. | 19:00 |
hamagc | they also use rmnet to pass data, we have it via ppp | 19:00 |
hamagc | so with those differences we can't receive | 19:00 |
JesusFreak316 | Was our ril coded from scratch or where's it from? | 19:00 |
hamagc | only send | 19:00 |
hamagc | modified from the vogue | 19:00 |
JesusFreak316 | Oh. Works fine for them though? | 19:00 |
hamagc | and the vogue has mms via weblink sent to the phone | 19:00 |
JesusFreak316 | Oh. | 19:00 |

JesusFreak316 | Just a thought. vogue is the same thing as the htc touch, right? | 19:02 |
hamagc | really not sure how it works for them but i assume similar to sprint seeing as they are both the same tech. | 19:02 |
hamagc | ya | 19:02 |
hamagc | well almost the same thing. i think the vogue has a 200mhz processor and the touch has a 400 or something weird like that | 19:03 |
JesusFreak316 | Yeah, saw one of those in a verizon a while back. That may be a way to get verizon customers working though. | 19:03 |
JesusFreak316 | Really? That's a pretty major difference. | 19:03 |
hamagc | lol right | 19:03 |
hamagc | or sorry, the vogue has double the ram and processor of the original touch | 19:04 |
stinebd | rhodium stolen | 19:04 |

R^7Z | However | 23:42 |
R^7Z | I don't know if I stumbled onto something new or if this is just the way Android works | 23:42 |
R^7Z | I was looking around the Android sub-forum for our devices (raphfuze) | 23:43 |
R^7Z | Basically, I tried another system.ext2 | 23:44 |
R^7Z | from Blazin (I think is the name) | 23:44 |
R^7Z | and it seems to work | 23:44 |
R^7Z | The ones from the other builds on neopeak (I think) | 23:44 |
R^7Z | I had no idea that system.ext2 were interchangable | 23:45 |
JesusFreak316 | With the same data.img? | 23:45 |
R^7Z | Yup! | 23:45 |
JesusFreak316 | Huh. | 23:46 |
R^7Z | Here's what I did | 23:46 |
R^7Z | I used my previous build from the zipped files | 23:46 |
R^7Z | let it build my data.img | 23:47 |
JesusFreak316 | I guess theoretically it should work for the most part; the only things, from my understanding, that would mess it up are permissions. If those are ok then it just loads the new system with your settings. | 23:47 |
R^7Z | Honestly had no idea what to expect | 23:47 |
JesusFreak316 | I can't remember exactly, but I might have once switched from an xdandroid build to a klinux sense build on the same data.img. Not sure, but that might have happened. | 23:48 |
R^7Z | Just kind of wanted the black taskbar and to see if it would work | 23:48 |
JesusFreak316 | It is interesting though. | 23:48 |
R^7Z | Tis, it tis... | 23:48 |
JesusFreak316 | I gotta get to bed though; early Calc III exam tomorrow. :? | 23:48 |
JesusFreak316 | Meant :/ | 23:48 |
R^7Z | woot woot! | 23:48 |
R^7Z | Good luck bro! | 23:49 |
JesusFreak316 | Thanks; I want to get it over with; I'm sick of vectors. :P | 23:49 |
JesusFreak316 | Anyways, good night. | 23:49 |
R^7Z | Later | 23:49 |
babijoee | hi R^7Z | 23:53 |
R^7Z | Sup bro | 23:53 |
*** JesusFreak316 has quit IRC | 23:54 | |
babijoee | where's this blazn rom people keep talking about :p | 23:54 |
R^7Z | I gotta look, was reading up on the HTC androidstaysafe project | 23:54 |
babijoee | ooo | 23:55 |
babijoee | not on xda? | 23:55 |
R^7Z | It is | 23:55 |
R^7Z | Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=581429 | 23:55 |
R^7Z | That's what I'm reading up on now | 23:56 |
R^7Z | I was curious as to how I could update the system.sqsh from klinuxs' build | 23:56 |
R^7Z | from sqsh to ext2 | 23:56 |
R^7Z | But if you want the link to blazn, I'll have to go a huntin | 23:57 |
R^7Z | :p | 23:57 |
